Name: Lam Wai Lee Batch :BH2 Group 14 Student ID: 0907JH88357 The skill that required to finish for the assignment is thinking and problem solving skills, interpersonal skill, digital literacy and communication skill. Why are these important for the assignment simply because these skills are related to a team working and computer skills such as AutoCAD. firstly, the interpersonal skill plays an very vital role, it helps us to mobilize the man power and also to set up a better team working for each other. Moreover, the communication skills help to get the ideas through the conversation in the meeting. In order to have the right position, i and my group members always share a lot of opinion to solve the issues, what we should do for the floor plan, where to search about the equipment. All these are based on the communication in order to have the right aspect to complete the assignment. Leader assigned task to the group members accordingly. Therefore, everyone is contribute their effort on the assignment. Next, the digital Literacy skills are related to LCT. For the restaurant floor plan, we need to do use the AutoCAD solfware to draw our restaurant floor plan. We are requiring a computer with the AutoCAD solfware to design the layout of the restaurant floor plan. Also, we also need Google to search more information and download AutoCad-block to complete the floor plan. Furthermore, thinking and problem solving skills are about how we think out of the box and solve the issues immediately. This skills allow us to have an experience when we have the difficulties, we are able to think it over and overcome the issues together. The most challenging part for the group assignment is drawing the floor plan. It looks easy to learn in the class when drawing the whole layout, it takes very long time to complete the drawing as we are not expert on it.Also, about the calculation of the length for the restaurant, the size and the other option which have to be very careful on drawing the restaurant layout. I and my group members have this difficult time because of the kitchen part, it must be very specific on the cooking area, hot & cold, pick up and preparation should be safe for the working staffs. The successful part of the group assignment is we are willing to spend our time to meet each other to draw the floor plan together, look for people who are good at drawing the restaurant layout, and get a consult from them. Everyone did contribute the effort on this assignment, giving a lot of ideas on designing as well as planning. Although we were busy for other assignments, we always wish the works to be done nicely and solve the problems together in order to complete the work on time. On the other hand, i did face some problem on the drawing skill, but my group members and friends assist me and teach me on the AutoCAD. As my group only 3 persons, we found that it is hard to complete on time but this never fall us down to do the assignment. Due to this reason, we always contribute a lot of effort compare to other groups. For the report, there are many parts that done by us, we always search about the restaurant, how does the restaurant started up and how they design the layout. I gather the information of the layout and describe about the floor plan on the report. Also, i also help the other two members to search the pricing of the equipment. Lastly, the skills i need to improve is communication skill and digital literacy. Why? Simply because i am not good at expressing my feeling and opinion to my group members, i always keep quiet and follow their instruction to complete the tasks that given by the leader.
